Leave your accommodation early in the morning.

Enter the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

Start your descent into the Ngorongoro Crater, the world's largest inactive volcanic caldera.

Explore the diverse habitats of the crater floor, spotting the Big Five (lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard, and rhinoceros) along with zebras, wildebeest, and numerous bird species.

Lunchtime

Enjoy a packed lunch at the Hippo Pool picnic site, overlooking the pool and watching hippos and other wildlife.

Afternoon

Resume your game drive, visiting different areas of the crater including the Lerai Forest and the lake, home to flamingos and other waterfowl.

Optional visit to a Maasai village near the crater rim to learn about the Maasai culture and traditions.

Begin your ascent back to the crater rim, taking in the breathtaking views.

Stop at viewpoints along the rim for panoramic photos of the crater.

Evening

Exit the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and return to your accommodation.
